Jeff's Story

I live in a rural New Hampshire community (i.e., Green Acres?) South of Concord. I have three daughters; Lori (20), Leanne (17) and Kennedy (12) and wife Christine. Kids and wife keep me busy with activities and recreation. Currently living the easy life of mid-level management for a large defense contractor as environmental manager. I am active in lobbying state legislative for environmental issues, mostly supporting the nefarious efforts of industry. I have lived in the Northeast since leaving school, 1987, and enjoy the four seasons, although winters are too long. Originally moving from Stillwater, Oklahoma to Bridgeport Connecticut. In Connecticut, I had my first two daughters and enjoyed the east coast life-style, especially visits to New York City. I worked as an environmental consultant and focused on siting and building environmental type projects, including incinerators and industrial recycling operations. In 1990, the family moved to New Hampshire. I lived in a small New England town, Milford and bought my first house (hurray!) ermally treat (not incinerate) soils containing oils, etc.. This project lead to building ~10 projects around the country. A lot of fun, but lots of work and most communities opposed and threatened the businesses (and us). In 1997, I started a business in Bridgeport CT with a group of investors to "Burn Dirt", but kept my house in New Hampshire. Left the CT operation in 1999 to site a Electric Power Co-generation facility in New Hampshire. The siting failed and I realized that siting was too much work. Unfortunately, the CT start up claimed my first marriage (15 years) and I ended a single father(ironic, huh). In 1997 I had one of those incidents that remind use how lucky we are to be alive; I severly injured myself cliff diving and ended up on the hospital. It was a miracle I survived, and luckily I have no residual problems from this event. In 2001 to a wonderful Yankee woman who proceeded to coral the 3 wild Indians I had partially raised (and me). I got to travel to Austin at regular intervals from 2005 - 2007, which allowed me to reconnect with both College and high school fiends. Thanks for reading.
